Changes in Promega’s Taq Product Line

Thank you for using Promega Taq DNA Polymerase. We want to make you aware of changes and improvements to our Taq products. Effective August 31st, 2006, we will discontinue Taq DNA Polymerase in Storage Buffers A and B and convert to our more robust GoTaq® Polymerase Family: GoTaq® DNA Polymerase GoTaq® Green Master Mix GoTaq® Flexi DNA Polymerase

The GoTaq® products offer improved amplification over Taq in Buffer A or B in comparison experiments.

The GoTaq® reaction buffers allow you to load reactions directly onto agarose gels for analysis, and contain PCR enhancers that allow reliable amplification of large and small fragments. In addition, the GoTaq buffers are available with or without added magnesium, allowing you more flexibility for reaction optimization. Some things will stay the same, with GoTaq® you’ll continue to enjoy our great value pricing, product availability, and PCR guarantee.

We realize you may have standardized your PCR with the current Promega Taq products. We are confident that GoTaq® will give you the consistency and reliability you expect.
