QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS

• An MSc or PhD in biochemistry/ genetics/ molecular biology/ immunology
• Ideally, at least 1 years sales experience either in life sciences research or medical diagnostics
• Code 8 drivers license, own car and confidence to travel independently in the Gauteng region
• Able to travel away from home on occasion

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Use working knowledge of life sciences to tailor product solutions to existing client base
• Actively seek new customers and opportunities for Whitehead Scientific
• Achieve annual sales targets, structured to grow both revenue and market share
• Provide technical support to customers
• Demonstrate molecular biology instrumentation to customers
• Organize and run product seminars and workshops for customers
• Collate and report key market and customer information on a regular basis
• Build positive relationships within the scientific community

PERSONAL COMPETENCY

• Self motivated team player with high energy levels
• A genuine empathy for the customer’s needs and requirements
• Obvious communication and interpersonal skills with persuasive flair
• A passion to achieve and make an impact
