So far this year we have made eight travel awards to post-graduate life science students around South Africa. We had a difficult task in selecting the recipients in the first round as we received over 40 applications. Our recipients were: Jennifer Claire Hoving, University of Cape Town Well done to all of the recipients and we hope that the conferences you were attending were rewarding! We would now like to open up the second round of applications for the remaining 6 awards of R2750 each. If you are a post graduate student studying for a further degree in life sciences (particularly in the field of molecular and cell biology) and you plan to attend a conference before March 2009, please contact our sales director, Dr Shirley Ferris Shirley@whitesci.co.za for an application form or more information. Applicants must be registered for a post graduate degree and must be full time students. No awards will be made unless proof of registration for your conference is provided, although we will pledge an award pending receipt of proof of registration. Applications for the second round should be submitted by Monday 18th of August for award in early September 2008. |
