Lunaphore COMET

The Lunaphore COMET is an ultra-rapid, high-throughput, fully automated platform for multiplex immunofluorescence and spatial biology applications. COMET is the only fully automated, high-throughput, hyperplex platform ensuring scalability and reproducibility without the need to conjugate primary antibodies. The system can detect two antibodies in each cycle, over 20 repeated cycles, allowing multiplex analysis of up to 40 separate spatial markers per slide.

COMET is designed for the analysis of Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE), and frozen tissues. COMET works with off-the-shelf, label-free antibodies, eliminating the need for custom reagent preparation or antibody conjugation. The gentle antibody removal process preserves tissue morphology thanks to rapid incubations, maintaining high-quality stainings whilst enabling downstream applications and H&E cross-validation on the same sample.

The platform identifies the location and assesses abundance of multiple proteins on a single tissue section, whilst obtaining large amounts of contextual information. The solution allows researchers to visualise multiple markers in the same tissue section, enabling deeper insights into the spatial relationships between cells. COMET supports complex cell interaction studies in immuno-oncology, immunology, neuroscience and infectious diseases.

The automated workflow integrates staining, imaging, and initial analysis processes, delivering consistent results with minimal hands-on time and proven reliability for spatial biology research applications.
