The Quantabio qScript Flex cDNA Kit is an easy-to-use, highly efficient first-strand cDNA synthesis kit that supports flexible choice of reverse transcription priming method, making it suitable for 5'-end RT-PCR, long RT-PCR of targets up to 12 kb, and gene-specific amplification.

The qScript Flex cDNA Kit is configured in separate components to support multiple RT priming strategies. The Priming Enhancer additive is supplied as a stand-alone solution for use with user-supplied gene-specific primers, and is also pre-blended into the supplied Oligo dT(20) and Random Primer solutions. qScript Reverse Transcriptase is a mixture of an engineered RNase H+ M-MLV reverse transcriptase and a recombinant ribonuclease inhibitor protein, specifically optimised for use with the qScript Flex Reaction Mix to ensure robust and reproducible first-strand synthesis.
Length of cDNA product depends on the priming strategy and quality of the RNA template. Oligo dT or GSP can be used for two-step RT-PCR of RNA targets up to 12 kb; random primer is suitable for RT-PCR of RNA targets less than 1 kb. All three priming methods are suitable for real-time quantitative RT-PCR (RT-qPCR). The resulting cDNA is directly compatible with real-time RT-PCR and end-point RT-PCR workflows.
For routine two-step RT-qPCR with pre-blended oligo(dT)(20) and random hexamer priming of RNA targets ≤ 1 kb, the qScript cDNA SuperMix or qScript cDNA Synthesis Kit is recommended. For rapid single-tube first-strand cDNA synthesis with superior thermostability and inhibitor resistance, consider the qScript Ultra SuperMix or qScript Ultra Flex Kit.
