Lonza ToxiLight® Non-Destructive Cytotoxicity BioAssay Kit is a bioluminescence-based cytotoxicity assay that measures the release of adenylate kinase (AK) from damaged or lysed cells. Unlike LDH-based assays, ToxiLight® uses adenylate kinase — an enzyme present in all eukaryotic cells — as a cytotoxicity marker, providing a highly sensitive, linear response across a wide range of cell death levels. The non-destructive format allows the cell culture plate to be retained for additional assays after ToxiLight® measurement.
