Lonza MycoAlert® PLUS Mycoplasma Detection Kit is an enhanced version of the industry-standard MycoAlert® assay, offering improved sensitivity for the detection of mycoplasma contamination in cell cultures. MycoAlert® PLUS uses the same bioluminescence-based biochemical detection principle as MycoAlert® — exploiting the activity of mycoplasmal enzymes absent from eukaryotic cells — but with an optimised formulation that reduces false-negative risk from challenging or low-level contaminations. Results are obtained in 20 minutes using a standard luminometer.
