The VIASURE Clostridium difficile toxins A+B Real Time PCR Detection Kit is a qualitative real-time PCR assay developed by Certest Biotec for the detection of Clostridioides difficile toxin genes A (tcdA) and B (tcdB) in clinical specimens. The kit is designed for the molecular diagnosis of toxigenic C. difficile infection (CDI); simultaneous detection of both toxin genes improves sensitivity for diagnosing CDI.
Each reaction well contains a complete lyophilised master mix including all primers, probes, and an internal control (IC) to monitor PCR inhibition — eliminating the need for separate reagent preparation. The kit is compatible with leading open-system real-time PCR thermal cyclers and uses the same thermal protocol across the VIASURE range, simplifying workflow in multi-assay laboratories.
