The VIASURE HLA Celiac Real Time PCR Detection Kit is a qualitative real-time PCR assay developed by Certest Biotec for the detection of HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 alleles in clinical specimens. The kit is designed for the molecular diagnosis of coeliac disease; HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 are present in virtually all coeliac patients — a negative result effectively excludes coeliac disease as the diagnosis.
Each reaction well contains a complete lyophilised master mix including all primers, probes, and an internal control (IC) to monitor PCR inhibition — eliminating the need for separate reagent preparation. The kit is compatible with leading open-system real-time PCR thermal cyclers and uses the same thermal protocol across the VIASURE range, simplifying workflow in multi-assay laboratories.
Intended use: Detection of HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 alleles from EDTA whole blood specimens.
