Lonza SeaPlaque® Agarose is the original low melting temperature agarose, producing gels with greater sieving properties and clarity than standard agarose.
Lonza SeaPlaque® Agarose is the original low melting temperature agarose, producing gels with greater sieving properties and higher clarity than standard melting temperature agarose. The low melting temperature of SeaPlaque® Agarose makes it ideal for preparative DNA and RNA electrophoresis, while its ultra-low gelling temperature (26–30°C) makes it the agarose of choice for cloning of temperature-sensitive tissue culture cells and for viral plaque assays — where cells can be overlaid with solid agarose without being damaged by heat.
