Lonza SeaPrep® Agarose is an ultra-low gelling temperature agarose that remains liquid at temperatures as low as 4°C but gels upon cooling below 4°C.
Lonza SeaPrep® Agarose is an ultra-low gelling temperature agarose that remains liquid at temperatures as low as 4°C but gels upon cooling below 4°C. This unique property makes SeaPrep® Agarose the ideal matrix for the separation and recovery of live cells, bacteria, yeast, and other biological materials that must be maintained at or below 4°C during processing. SeaPrep® Agarose can be melted, mixed with cells or bacteria, and then allowed to gel in the cold without damaging temperature-sensitive biological materials.
