The Biochrom Ultrospec 30 Cell Density Meter is a compact, portable instrument for measuring optical density (OD600) in bacterial and yeast cell suspensions. Its handheld design and rechargeable Li-Ion battery make it suited to both bench and field use for rapid microbial growth phase analysis.
The instrument features a 4.3-inch colour touchscreen for intuitive navigation, and can generate and store custom standard curves using absorbance or McFarland standards. Measurement data can be exported via USB in CSV format for downstream analysis.
